I would have loved to have had the words type set for me and printed on an old printing press, but unable to have that done I tried running a piece of Reeves through my laser printer.  That didn't work good enough.

So I found some nice ivory parchment paper printed the words on the laser printer and attached it to the Reeves.  I also wanted to have maps that showed the elevation and distance of each hike, as well as point out places along the trails.  I also included a quick ink sketch on each one.

When I assembled all the etchings, maps and written sheets I clamped them together and bound them all with a sturdy linen thread.

I cut shapes out of four different Japanese papers and along with my decorated paper I assembled a collage for the covers.

I placed my bound pages between the covers and drilled holes on the flap.
While the book is still clamped I stitch ribbon to make the binding.

Thanks for reading about the creation of this work of art.
